Richard Berman

Dr Berman has been working as Consultant in Supportive & Palliative Care and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Cancer Sciences at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Europe’s largest single-site cancer centre, since 2006.  His main clinical interest is in supportive care in cancer care (supportive oncology). He has written several key papers on the topic.

His team pioneered NHS England’s Enhanced Supportive Care programme – an initiative set up to implement and embed supportive care services within cancer centres in England. Dr Berman is a founder member of the UK Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, Founder Director of Supportive Care (UK) Ltd, and deputy clinical director for supportive oncology at The Christie.
