Lesley Howells
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Lesley Howells is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who until her partial retirement in August 2025 was the Lead Psychologist for the Maggie’s network of twenty-seven psychosocial cancer support centres across the UK. She became a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Cancer and Specialist Palliative care in 2001 and has worked in multidisciplinary supportive cancer care for the last 24 years. She trained in systems leadership with the Kings Fund, and has worked across NHS, academic and not-for-profit settings.
She is now the Maggie’s Lead for Staff Emotional Wellbeing and is training in Spiritual Care. She leads the multidisciplinary Psychosocial Workstream for UKASCC.
